Course Description

The RFID Implementation Training is a technical training course targeted to technical sales staff and engineers who will be designing, selling and installing RFID solutions. This lab-based course trains students to set up and optimally configure Motorola's XR400, XR480 or AR400 RFID reader and antennas for highest read rates.

Course Objectives

After completing this course the student should be able to:

• Set up their lab-stations, consisting of a reader with two general-purpose antennas; perform physical connections and configuration via a serial connection
• Explore all configuration settings through the web-based interface
• Learn reading and writing of RFID tags
• Manage readers and antennas
• Optimize a radio field and tag assets to achieve highest read rates
• Consider site analysis and how to best determine what type of tags should be deployed

Knowledge of:

• General understanding of RF

• No required courses; RFID Online Overview Course recommended
